Jayo's fried mock chicken

INGREDIENTS:

1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 cups flour
3 Tbsp yellow mustard
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp baking powder
1 lb mock chicken (I use Worthington's Chik-ette)
3 1/2 cups vegetable oil

PREPARATION:

Mix together salt, onion powder, pepper, garlic powder, and flour in a deep bow.l

In separate bowl, dilute mustard in the 1/2 cup of water.

Add 1/3 of the flour mixture to the mustard mixture and stir.

Add baking powder to the dry flour mixture and mix.

Dip chunks of mock "chicken" in mustard batter, then drop into flour mixture to coat with crust.

Fry chunks in hot oil until crispy and golden brown
